WonderWhich is a curated directory of AI tools for builders who want signal instead of listicles. Its entire position is a refusal: nothing on the site is ranked because someone paid for it.

  • Challenge & Approach

Every AI directory on the internet is an affiliate farm. Claiming otherwise is cheap; the product has to behave differently in ways a visitor can feel within thirty seconds.

People also do not arrive knowing the product name they want. They arrive with a job — “turn a podcast into short clips” — and every keyword directory fails them at exactly that moment.

  • Make honest ranking legible, not just claimed
  • Search by outcome rather than by product name
  • Turn a described project into an actual, ordered workflow
  • Credits and plans that do not feel like a paywall on browsing

  • The Solution

We built semantic search over the catalogue’s own embeddings, so you can describe the job and get ranked matches with honest relative match percentages — and an explicit “nothing in the catalogue is close to this” when that is the truth. Describe a project and the assistant returns a workflow: every stage becomes a node with the tool, the steps and the hand-off to the next one. The catalogue stays free to browse; credits buy the planning, the web research beyond the catalogue and cross-project memory.

Key features
  • Semantic search ranked by meaning, with relative match scoring
  • Workflow builder that turns a described project into connected nodes
  • Filter by category, pricing and what builders actually use
  • Shareable workflows, shortlists and cross-project memory
  • Credits on signup, with the catalogue free to browse either way

  • Outcome

A directory that answers “what should I use for this?” instead of “what paid to be at the top?” — and admits when the honest answer is that nothing fits yet.

“Semantic search, the workflow builder and the billing all shipped together. They built the position — no sponsored rankings — into how the product actually behaves.”
